What motivated you to play guitar?

One of my biggest motivations is probably Tom DeLonge. What about you guys?

i cant really play but i try
umm noel gallagher is my true idol
and what really inspired me was i have a nice guitar that just sits in the corner of my room collecting dust

I can't really remember. I had the chance to have lessons so I just went for it. Still going strong 5 years later

Mine would have to be Billie Joe.
Then I stopped and I started again because of Tom

i would say because my influences and wanting to be in a band. But most of all because im obssesed with music, and well, what better way to like music better, than by learning how to play guitar :]

Billie Joe made me want to play the guitar.

wanting to play along with blink songs...still got a ways to go before i can consider myself "good" at guitar though

Yeah, pretty much same here, like wanting to play what I loved to listen to

I still do that sometimes....

i had lotsa money so i went to guitar center not having a clue if i was gonna like it and spent like $800 then i decided i was gonna be a famous rockstar and im sticking to that and all of you are gonna see me up on stage rocking out tellin some old school blink jokes and making my own joke songs and fun shit like that

I started playing the guitar in 5th grade because of Avril Lavigne, and then I lost interest
